Welcome to IvanLee Shelties. We are Michael & Pamela Korcek, and we live in Lebanon, OR. Lebanon is a small town of about 13,000 people, with no other cities bordering up to it for many, many miles. We live in the Willamette Valley, on 2 acres of prime riverbed property, just across the road from the Santiam River. It is a great place to live, and a wonderful place for our shelties. All of our Shelties are housedogs.
We've had Shelties for 29 years now, with Pamela getting her first companion Sheltie in 1980 - her beloved pet Heidi. Heidi quickly obtained her AKC CD title in just five shows, with one win being the Highest Scoring Sheltie Award.
She tragically went to "the Bridge" at the age of three. Though Heidi was from humble beginnings, she had that true Sheltie essence. Because of her, we have loved Shelties since that time.
We enjoy participating in conformation, agility and obedience with our Shetland Sheepdogs. The past few years have found us handling professionally for other Sheltie Enthusiasts, and we enjoy this immensely!
The name IvanLee is derived from Pamela's father's name. Being from Missouri, everyone always called him by both his first and middle name, as if it were one. When she was just 10, he took Pamela to a farm,
where she saw her first Sheltie, and it was love at first sight!
We now have to our credit (owned, co-owned, bred-by or handled by us) Eight finished AKC Champions, two finished Canadian Champions, two International Champions, two with UKC Championship points, as well as multiple AKC pointed Shelties waiting in the wings, several with Majors. We are proud of our multiple HIGH level Agility achievers, including one MACH (Master Agility Champion) Sheltie, please see our performance page.
Many IvanLee Shelties have also earned various herding titles.
Michael & Pamela are members of the Pacific Northwest Shetland Sheepdog Club, and Pamela is a member of the American Shetland Sheepdog Association. We occasionally raise a litter, and all pet companion puppies are placed on spay/neuter agreements, with a written health guarantee. We believe in and participate in genetic health testing of hips, eyes, thyroids, vWD etc. We care deeply for our dogs, and they are very important to us. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

- CURRENT POPULAR K9 INFORMATION -
Here we will post a current topic of interest, to educate the public.
Today, May 19th, 2009 our topic is the HSUS-
(from the Consumer Freedom website:
When is a “Humane Society” Not a “Humane Society”?
April 7, 2009
If you’re still under the impression that the Humane Society of the United States is an umbrella group for local pet shelters, think again. According to its most recent tax return (filed in November 2008), HSUS devoted less than 4 percent of its massive $91.5 million budget to hands-on dog and cat shelters in 2007. We broke the news to reporters this morning.
Pet lovers donated over $85 million to HSUS in 2007, but only a tiny sliver of that went to helping homeless dogs and cats.
That’s nothing compared to what HSUS spends hassling hunters, complaining about circus elephants, and trying to remove meat and dairy foods from the American diet.
HSUS is telling Americans how hard it is for local shelters to stay open in this economic climate. But it’s taking their donations straight to the bank.
